Every year, the colleagues of the sales and operations departments renew their knowledge of transaction negotiation techniques; we also work with internally developed principles of export sales – how to talk with customers, how to deal with objections. These principles are alive because they develop along with the situation in the market, in our clients’ companies and also with us. That’s why we study with industry professionals, finding the most appropriate training service providers for the current training needs.

Continuous technological development has become the new normal in every organisation. This is why the acquisition of new IT skills has become an important criterion for improving the development and competitiveness of employees and the company. We regularly provide IT skills development courses for both production plant and administration employees; we mentor and support new colleagues in learning KRONUS IT programs and systems on a daily basis.

As a multinational company, KRONUS learns languages. Our team includes colleagues with knowledge of Latvian, Russian, English, French, German, Spanish, Lithuanian, Chinese and other languages. We are open to different languages ​​and communicate every day in the languages ​​we know best and our communication is at a high level. This multilingualism also motivates us to learn more languages.

Kronus is convinced that the company’s success is helped by strong, professional managers of various levels who care about their own and their employees’ development and well-being at work. The company has more than 30 managers of different levels, with varying experience, personality and style, but they are all united by Kronus’ goals.

The development of leaders is important to Kronus; therefore, in 2021, a Leadership Training Programme was created, where managers of different levels learn the necessary skills and tools that help them manage themselves, others and achieve results in working with people.

Kronus provides training, in which production employees are trained to work with equipment. That’s why we train our production colleagues to recognise different grades of timber, to identify damage to pallets and pallet collars. Every employee who starts work at Kronus is trained in the training centre, where even a new colleague who knows nothing about production and timber has the opportunity to learn and become an experienced employee in this field. There is in-depth training on working with equipment and also on work safety and fire safety. Our mechanics and engineers learn equipment programming and service skills from equipment manufacturers and in cooperation with various Latvian schools and universities.
